Lia Symer is a rising sophomore at Dartmouth College, where she intends to major in Quantitative Social Science with a concentration in Government and minor in Public Policy. From working for six months on the U.S. Senate floor to interning for her local Texas representative, Lia has extensive experience in all levels of politics. In the past, she also founded Youth for Lina Hidalgo, served as the Chair for Texas High School Democrats, and worked on the Executive Board of Students for Warnock. Her time interning with a human trafficking prosecutor inspired her interest in the policy fields of reproductive freedom, sexual violence prevention, and LGBTQ+ rights. At Dartmouth, she serves as an Ambassador for the Dartmouth Student Civics Association, a member on the Student and Presidential Committee on Sexual Assault, and as an active and trained member of the Sexual Assault Peer Alliance.
